2025 Scholarship Recipients

 

$18,500 in Scholarships Awarded

On Tuesday, May 27, Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union (Cy-Fair FCU), in partnership with The Partin Foundation, the Miller family, and the Dickey family, proudly awarded 13 scholarships totaling $18,500. Cy-Fair FCU’s scholarship program began in 1992, and to date, the credit union has provided vital financial assistance to 243 students, contributing over $280,000 towards their higher education aspirations.

Scholarship Highlights:


Cy-Fair FCU Community Quill Scholarship ($1,500)

The newly introduced Community Quill Scholarship was awarded to Faith. This scholarship honors the legacy of our most recent Community Quill Award recipient, given annually to individuals who make sustained, exemplary contributions to the local community. Dr. Mark Henry, retired CFISD superintendent, was the most recent recipient of the Community Quill Award for his profound impact on local education and our community.

Cy-Fair FCU Committee Choice Scholarship ($1,250)

These two recipients were selected for their compelling personal stories. Nevaeh and Saadika each demonstrated values, experiences, and aspirations that deeply resonated with the scholarship committee.

Cy-Fair FCU Membership Scholarship ($1,500)

Jenna was awarded this scholarship, open to graduating seniors who are Cy-Fair FCU members or have an immediate family member with an account. Her application stood out for her commendable efforts within her school and community.

Cy-Fair FCU Bilingual Spanish Scholarship ($1,500)

Flavia received this scholarship designed for bilingual students in Harris and Waller Counties who completed ESL or NAC programs. Flavia was honored for her perseverance and academic success.

The Full-Year Lone Store College Scholarship in Memory of Pattie R. Miller ($3500)

This scholarship honors Pattie R. Miller, a cherished member of the Cy-Fair FCU family, who positively impacted everyone she came in contact with. Hilennys was selected for her hard work and positive contributions.

PVAMU Academic Scholarship ($1,500)

This scholarship commemorates the historic founding of PVAMU and Prairie View FCU. Isaiah received this scholarship in recognition of his accomplishments that reflect the legacy of excellence at Prairie View A&M University.

PVAMU Athletic Scholarship ($1,500)

This scholarship is awarded in partnership with PVAMU Athletics Department to support an individual who embodies the spirit of a well-rounded student-athlete. Nicholos was selected as the recipient for successfully balancing athletic dedication with academic performance.

Kimberly A. Dickey Memorial Scholarship ($1,500)

This scholarship commemorates the life of Kimberly Dickey. Because Kimberly was an accomplished artist, as well as the beneficiary of many kind, knowledgeable medical professionals, consideration for this scholarship was given to any graduating high school senior planning to pursue either a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree or a Bachelors in a Healthcare field.
