Why?

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include: Social Security number and account balances credit history and income payment history and transaction history.

How does Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • Open an account or pay your bills

  • Use your credit or debit card or apply for financing

  • Make deposits or withdrawals from your account

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness

  • Affiliates from using your information to market to you

  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

State law and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.


ONLINE & MOBILE PRIVACY

Cy-Fair FCU is committed to the highest level of security and privacy regarding the collection and use of personal information within our website, online banking, and mobile banking. CFFCU utilizes state-of-the-art commercial firewall and integrated SSL encryption technology for session exchange data so that your account information is well protected.

How Personal Information May Be Collected Online
Personal information may be collected through the submission of account and lending applications, online account access and transactions, and online financial tools. Visitors may also voluntarily provide personal information via web forms, online registration, contact forms, and email.

If you choose to contact the credit union by email, please do not include any identifying information which is not public as email security is dependent on your email provider and not the Credit Union.

Website Tracking
The Credit Union uses "cookies" as part of its website interface. While the tracking “cookies” do not capture member information, it does identify the computer’s IP address and general information such as when the visit occurred and what Credit Union pages were visited so the Credit Union can measure usage of the website and customize the website experience. Depending on the browser that you use, you can set your preferences to block cookies.

Location Data
The Credit Union collects location data through the location-based feature of Mobile Banking to help you find nearby financial centers and ATMs, as well as to receive push notifications relevant to your location. You may specify whether you would like to use these location services in accordance with your mobile device’s permission settings.

The Credit Union will frequently link to other sites as a convenience to our members. The Credit Union will seek to link with other sites that adhere to similar privacy standards, however Cy-Fair FCU is not liable for content, privacy, or availability of linked pages.

By using the cyfairfcu.org web site or Cy-Fair FCU's online or mobile banking services you signify your acceptance of these Privacy Policies and Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use or Privacy Policy your only recourse is to not use these pages.

Definitions

Affiliates - Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Our affiliates include companies with a CU Alliance Companies name; and others, such as CUAC and Member Home Loan.

Non-Affiliates - Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union does not share with our non-affiliates so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing - A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Our joint marketing partners include credit card companies and insurance companies.
