As Cy-Fair FCU celebrates 70 years of serving our local communities and the school district, the credit union is proud to announce the renewal of its stadium naming rights agreement with Cy-Fair Independent School District, extending the partnership through June 2036.

This renewed agreement is far more meaningful than a typical sponsorship. It is a visible symbol of a partnership rooted in seven decades of shared history, community investment, and a commitment to helping future generations thrive.

“Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is proud to extend our historic partnership with Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union through the renewal of our stadium naming rights agreement,” noted Dr. Douglas Killian, Superintendent of Cy-Fair ISD. “As our longest-standing business partner, Cy-Fair FCU continues to demonstrate unwavering dedication to our schools. We look forward to another decade of celebrating student achievement, athletic excellence, and community events at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.”

This kind of partnership is especially important at a time when school districts across the country are working to balance growing needs with limited resources. The agreement extension provides meaningful annual funding for essential services and initiatives that benefit educators, students, and the community. For Cy-Fair FCU, supporting CFISD in this way is one more opportunity to help lift the community while honoring the educators who helped establish the credit union in the first place.

The agreement also reflects Cy-Fair FCU's approach to responsible, community-focused marketing. Unlike many traditional advertising opportunities, where marketing dollars often leave the community and benefit outside companies, this partnership keeps those dollars working locally by supporting Cy-Fair ISD while also increasing awareness of the credit union.

Since the original naming rights agreement in 2016, Cy-Fair FCU Stadium has become a familiar gathering place for the community. From athletic competitions to graduation ceremonies and countless community events, the stadium welcomes more than a million visitors each year and has become a recognizable landmark throughout the region.

The agreement also expands Cy-Fair FCU’s visibility through additional engagement opportunities connected to other district events, staff activities, and financial education. In this way, Cy-Fair FCU Stadium reinforces the credit union’s commitment to the community and represents an investment that creates value for everyone.

“Stadiums create memories that last a lifetime. First games, championships, graduations, and moments families never forget,” added Cameron Dickey, President & CEO of Cy-Fair FCU. “We're honored that the place where so many of those memories are made will continue to bear the name of an institution that was itself born from Cy-Fair ISD nearly 70 years ago. It's a reminder that when a community invests in its people, those investments come full circle.”

While the stadium naming agreement has become one of the most visible symbols of that relationship, it is only one part of the credit union's longstanding commitment to supporting education and strengthening the communities it serves. That commitment extends well beyond the stadium.

Over the years, the credit union has invested in programs that directly benefit students, educators, and schools. Since launching its Social Responsibility initiative in 2014, Cy-Fair FCU has contributed more than $2 million in direct support to CFISD. This includes student scholarships, School Spirit Debit Card donations, annual classroom makeovers, district sponsorships, the stadium agreement, and other initiatives.

At its heart, Cy-Fair FCU believes that strong schools help build strong communities. Supporting education remains a meaningful way the credit union fulfills its mission of strengthening the community. When students are supported, educators are encouraged, and families feel connected to the places where they live and learn, the entire community benefits.

“Every student who walks across the graduation stage, every educator who inspires a classroom, and every family who supports them helps shape the future of our community,” said Cameron Dickey, President & CEO of Cy-Fair FCU. “That's why we're proud to continue our partnership with Cy-Fair ISD, not simply to support a stadium, but to invest in the dreams, opportunities, and potential of the people it represents.”

Mr. Dickey continued, “Since 1956, when ten Cy-Fair ISD employees founded our credit union from a secretary's desk drawer at Cy-Fair High School, our story has always been intertwined with this community, and we're honored to keep writing 'good' into the life stories of those around us for generations to come.”

As Cy-Fair FCU looks ahead to its 80th anniversary, the renewed stadium agreement stands as both a tribute to its history and a commitment to the future. Together, Cy-Fair FCU and Cy-Fair ISD are not only continuing a longstanding partnership. They are honoring a shared legacy, strengthening a community, and investing in the people whose stories will shape what comes next.
