Show Your School Spirit

Through Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union’s innovative School Spirit Debit Card initiative, the credit union has given over $120,000 to CFISD high schools since its inception.  Each high school allocates the donations based on the unique needs of a specific booster club. Currently, these funds are dedicated towards supporting the athletic teams, drill teams, choir, drama, and band booster clubs.

How It Works

It’s simple! Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union’s School Spirit Debit Card program allows members to choose a MasterCard debit card featuring their chosen high school’s color and mascot. Next, members will select a booster club that they would like for their donations to benefit. Use your School Spirit Debit Card as a signature-based transaction (run as credit, not debit or PIN) on common purchases of $5 or more. Contributions for the school’s booster club you selected are generated from the proceeds of those purchases, at no additional cost to you!  The funds are accumulated and paid out to the booster clubs on a bi-annual basis.

CFFCU is currently partnered with Bridgeland High School, Cy-Fair High School, Cypress Creek High School, Cypress Falls High School, Cypress Lakes High School, Cypress Park High School, Cypress Ranch High School, Cypress Ridge High School, Cypress Springs High School, Cypress Woods High School, Jersey Village Highschool, and Langham Creek High School.

A Cy-Fair FCU Checking Account is required for the School Spirit Debit Card to be attached to. To be eligible to open a checking account you must establish membership with the Credit Union, which is accomplished simply by opening a Savings Account (called a Share Account) with a minimum of $5.00 deposited into the Savings Account at opening.
