Cameron Dickey President/CEO Cameron Dickey is an award-winning credit union executive and highly regarded as an innovator within the credit union industry. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Cameron has developed and led successful teams at growth-oriented companies as a CFO, Executive Vice President, and CEO.
Since November 2012, Cameron has served as Cy-Fair’s President/CEO. Under his leadership, Cy-Fair has embarked on a bold 10-year plan to build upon its legacy of serving the Cypress-Fairbanks community. Forward-thinking financial solutions, enhanced member service and convenience, and strong community partnerships are the core of Cameron’s leadership focus and Cy-Fair’s vision for the future. Over the course of his career, Cameron has been deeply involved with numerous industry associations and committees, including the Cornerstone Credit Union League Governmental Affairs Committee and the World Council of Credit Unions. He is also active in local community organizations and serves as a trustee on the board of the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation.
Cameron is an alumnus of Western Credit Union National Association Management School and holds a B.S. in Business Administration. He lives in Cypress, Texas with his wife of 20 years and their four children.
John Smith Chief Financial Officer John Smith is a seasoned financial services professional with 35 years of experience that includes success as an entrepreneur, CEO, CFO, CPA and FDIC auditor consultant. Prior to joining Cy-Fair, John served as CFO for Capital West Bank, where he built a robust financial department and helped strengthen the bank’s profitability following the most recent recession.
As Cy-Fair’s CFO, John provides strategic leadership over the credit union’s financial operations including investments, budget preparations, long-term financial planning and accounting practices. He also represents the credit union to regulatory bodies, the financial community and external auditors. In addition to his professional duties, John is especially interested in supporting organizations and activities that focus on youth development and has been active in local Kiwanis clubs. Since moving to the Houston area in July 2014, he has also become a patron sponsor of the Houston Fine Arts Museum.
John has been certified as a public accountant and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He lives in Harris County with his wife and 15-year-old daughter.
Johnette Green Vice President of Lending + Retail Operations Johnette Green joined Cy-Fair in 2003 and has spent nearly three decades helping residents and businesses in the Houston area achieve their financial goals. As Vice President of Lending and Retail Operations, she uses her deep industry and local knowledge to build the credit union’s loan portfolio and improve products and services for its growing membership.
Johnette oversees all of Cy-Fair’s branches, member resource center, lending activities, including related vendor relationships, loss prevention, new products and promotions, and loan audits. Before joining Cy-Fair, she held diverse positions in the financial services industry—branch manager, staff accountant and collections officer—through which she developed skills managing both the technical and personal side of banking.
An active volunteer in her local church, Johnette is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati and upon graduation moved to Houston in 1984. She has two children, who are both graduates of the University of Houston, and a two-year-old grandson.
Valarie Brittain Vice President of Human Resources + Training Valarie Brittain brings nearly 15 years of HR experience to her role as Cy-Fair’s Vice President of Human Resources. Since beginning her HR career with AmericanWest Bank, Valarie has developed expertise creating and implementing comprehensive HR programs to attract and retain employees from top to bottom of complex organizations.
Since 2010, Valarie has served the employees of Cy-Fair, where she oversees the credit union’s compensation and benefits programs, as well as employee recruiting, staffing, and training. As a member of Cy-Fair’s Executive Leadership Team, Valarie is also responsible for helping implement Cy-Fair’s 10-year plan, which includes enhancing the professional development and expertise of Cy-Fair employees. Valarie serves as a board member on the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce and remains actively involved in several industry-related organizations, including the Houston Chapter of Credit Union Board of Directors, the Society of Human Resource Management and HR Houston. She is actively involved with the World Council of Credit Unions and has traveled to Brazil through its professional exchange program.
An avid marathon runner, cyclist and triathlete, Valarie also volunteers with Cy-Fair Independent School District, Houston Food Bank, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a B.A. in Business Administration and received from Rice University her Professional in Human Resources Certification, which remains active. In 2015, Valarie will graduate from the Southwest Credit Union National Association Management School.
