Financial Consultant / Bilingual preferred

The primary role of this position is to provide member services, products and business practices so that we unlock and cultivate our members' financial future. To achieve this mission, the position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members. A key element to this service delivery is to identify the member's financial needed recommend the most suitable solution for the member. To assist members with their financial needs, including but not limited to opening new accounts; answering inquiries regarding products and services; and related responsibilities and duties.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assists members or potential members with various financial needs including, but not limited to, answering questions about all products and services and resolving problems within guidelines and authority limits; opens new accounts, including savings, checking, certificate accounts and IRAs. Prepares and/or reviews all documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells products/services to members.
  • Takes member loan applications and prepares them for review by the Loan Consultants.
  • Processes all file maintenance needs in a timely and accurate manner. Keeps apprised of current compliance rules and regulations, training sessions or webinars as they are available or as assigned by management.
  • Replaces ATM/debit cards and researches any problems members may have with their cards. Processes research requests of members.
  • Back-up filing as needed and other duties as assigned.

 

Work Environment
Full time employees are required to complete (16) hours of volunteerism and (8) hours for Part time employees. All volunteer time must be approved prior to event. In addition, needs to benefit or have an impact on the Cy-Fair Community.

Loan Consultant / Bi-lingual preferred

The primary role of this position is to provide member services, products and business practices so that we unlock and cultivate our members' financial future. To achieve this mission, the position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to provide aggressive loan volume of $1 million monthly and clerical and administrative support needed to audit and decision consumer loans.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for taking and evaluating member loan applications, credit card application and making appropriate credit decisions based on lending policy and credit worthiness.
  • Processes approved loans and sets up date and time to close the loan and make disbursements.
  • Performs audits on all loans for accuracy and ensure policies were followed.
  • Works with FCs, and Loan Consultant II to ensure documentation is collected and filed appropriately.
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell products and services to members. Must meet minimum standards for GAP, Ext Warranty, and CLAD. May take HE Loans as necessary to include the closing procedures with members in office.
  • May be responsible for preparing reports for the VP of Lending + Loss Prevention.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Performance Measurements:

  1. Produce loan documents, reports, and new memberships with at least 90% accuracy.
  2. Provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates by responding to email within 24 hours.
  3. Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
  5. Meet or exceed monthly loan goals established by the credit union.
