History |
|
|
|
Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union was formed in 1956 by
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD educators; our doors opened with
just 10 members. In 1974 the Credit Union had 1,000
members and 1 million dollars in assets. In 1977
Cy-Fair FCU purchased an office site in Jersey Village. In 1985 Cy-Fair FCU was 5,000 members strong and looking for new
office space because of the continued growth. Cy-Fair
FCU purchased the One Steeplechase Building in 1989, where the main office is today, and became a full-service
financial institution. As the Credit Union continued to
grow in members and assets, the plans to open a second
branch were in the works. In 1999 Cy-Fair FCU opened
the Stone Creek Branch located at 16727 FM 529. Our
third branch location is underway on Skinner Road at Highway
290.
Cy-Fair FCU served the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD employees
exclusively for the last 50 years; however last year
NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) granted the
Credit Union a community charter, allowing the Credit
Union to offer membership to anyone who lives, works,
worships or attends school within the CFISD boundaries
and parts of Waller County. Cy-Fair FCU is a full service financial institution that offers a
variety of products and services.
